Kelson 2/2016

Kelson is losing teeth all while Chloe is bringing them in!

Yoga with MOM!!!!
Puppet show with the Groundhog!!! One of their many shows was something about zombies eating brains!!! Must be boys...
This all-star was invited to Yaretzi's birthday party! She only invited 4 people from her class and he was the only boy! He was also the only friend that showed up! He was so excited to go and give her the presents he got her! She loved the play dough the most, he got her a coloring book with crayons as well as a card that he wrote inside "I like Yaretzi" I helped him spell "Hope you have a great day!" He then colored the items he got her in the card! Yaretzi actaully just lives across the street and up a couple houses! Who knew he had classmates so close!
(We just found out that Sesi also lives across the street. She comes over to ask Kelson to play.)

Jay 2/2016

First of all, Jay's collar bone has healed completely correctly!!! It still has a huge callus all around it, but that would fix it's self in the next 9-12 months!

He has started soccer at the Provo Rec Center! He loves it and wants to wear his jersey ALL day EVERY day! It's a start smart class, which means I'm his partner! I strap Chloe to my chest and together, Jay and I learn the fundamentals of the game! He picked up dribbling the ball really well! I was surprised how well he picked up the skills we have learn thus far. If you know Jay, he isn't the most coordinated little kid. He sure showed me!!!

A co-worker of mine made each kid a crocheted beanie! She did a really, really good job on them! Thanks, Andrea!

Playing with Kelson.. Fell off the curb and nose dived! Luckily he landed on his right shoulder and not his left!

They put on puppet shows for me! I looooved it! They are hilarious!

bowling

Bowling with some good friends made a great family night out! Kelson figured that he didn't need to bowling ramp anymore... His turn took a long time due to a very slow ball rolling down the lane! All the kids were very helpful in getting your ball for you! Aren't kids great!?
P.s. When did bowling get so expensive!? Not cool...

Got a good picture of the kids! All looking at the camera!!!
They weren't so sure of each other...

Emery thought to stay with the apple sauce!

Look at this face! Don't you just want to smooooooooch it!?

8 Months

Wow! I can't believe how much Chloe has changed in just ONE month!

  • She now has 3 teeth!1st the bottom right, 2nd bottom left, 3rd top right! Aaaah! I miss that toothless grin! She has handled it like a champ! A slight runny nose as they were cutting through and no ornery attitude... Well, until the top one starting coming down.. All in all she's a happy baby!
  • She walks very well while holding on to things. She uses a home depot bucket as a walker. We should probably get her an actual one for herself. While assisting her, she will grunt grumpily as she tries to let go so she can do it herself!
  • She can stand for a second or two on her own before falling! (She gets so proud of herself being so big!)
  • She had her first piggy tails!
  • She loves to eat cottage cheese!
  • Spitting is her new thing. It usually sets the boys off into hooligan mouth spitting and farting energy outburst!
  • Her first word is Da-da. It's not just baby talk, she really knows who Da-da is and calls him that! When she is happy and wants his attention she says: Da-da, (clicks tongue), Da-da, (clicks tongue). She repeats til he acknowledges her :)
  • She has learned to bite her brothers when they are bugging her and they are in the proximity... They think it's cute and funny... Boy, are they in for a treat!
  • She likes applesauce now, as long as its the real stuff. She really doesn't like that pureed food.
  • Loves to gnaw on celery, peppers, carrots, hummus. If it's a vegetable, she likes it.
  • Bath time is great! She feels so grown up sitting in that tub all by her lonesome.
  • She enjoys her very own cup. It even has handles for her to grasp!
  •  She is just so happy and full of light (even with her nasty cold she has at the moment)
  • Daddy is still her favorite. (Will I ever win? Just kidding)
  • Still not sleeping through the night, but at least she is slowly napping longer.

We love you, Coconut!!!
Warning: Lots and Lots of Pictures!

See the food on her 'boobs' and down her cleavage?
She's started to take after her Gma Autrey ;)

1st piggy tails!

1st elevator selfie :)

She SO wants to stand on her own.

So happy for food!!!

Hilarious face after downing cottage cheese at the Bailey family dinner!

Kelson update!

Kelson is 5 years and 5 months old. This month his 8 year old molar's have come in!
WHAAAAT? At first I wasn't sure if his gums were just inflamed from food being stuck back there, but it really is two new teeth! His top ones are trying to cut through now as well. What a big boy!

Other updates of him:

He has read 33 books since the beginning of the year!
He gets super star in class on a regular basis!
All of his best friends in school have moved away...
He rushes through lunch to make sure he has lots of time to play on the playground. As a result he comes home starving.
He loves playing with the parachute during P.E. They play this shark game with it and he loves being the shark.
Him and Jay are back to sharing a room and they both are enjoying it and doing great!
Kelson eats just as much food as I do. Sometimes he even out eats me... This is not a good sign for the Autrey wallet. I don't even want to think about the bottomless pit that will be here when he's a teen. Two bottomless pits for that matter.
His thumb sucking has gotten worse. That's not the only thing though... His picking has gotten worse as well. Right now he has a huge purple infected toe... He either bit or clipped the nail too low. Similar situation the last time we had this issue. We keep the clippers up for this very reason... He is constantly just picking at things, biting his nails and sucking his thumb. We have tried everything... We are out of options and answers...
On the other hand, he is a great help with Chloe. He loves to wait on her hand and foot! Just on Sunday I was busy talking to a sister in the ward. Wrapping up the conversation I noticed Chloe was missing... Kelson had taken her to primary with him!
He also is great at cleaning and doing laundry around the house! He is a great, amazing kid!
He has grown out of saying: bacuters (computers) :(
He uses big words now, he surprises me quite often.
We are signing him up for t-ball this year! How exciting is that!?
Below are pictures from last fall until now!

I LOVE when this boy gets a hold of my phone!!!
