Story of the Green Glob that rode a bicycle

Jayson LOVES riding his new old bike we bought from DI for a few bucks. His old bike just didn't seem to fit him very well and stumbled across his red racer at the store while looking for other items. We took it home and put training wheels on it... The wouldn't stay put and he kept falling down because of it.

Funny story: we were on the river trail one day (closer to the lake) and Jay had gone ahead of us, turned around and was heading towards us. Next thing we know, he flew right off the 'cliff' and landed in some shrubbery. Luckily too! If those bushes weren't there he and his bike would have gone right into the deeper parts of the river! With out even thinking, I sprang to his rescue.  We were pretty sure he was trying to balance with the training wheels so he wouldn't fall over which led him to flying off the trail. It was quite hilarious to watch! Glad he was okay, only a minor cut under his eye... Of course, his face... It is never anything but the face! He got right back on his bike and raced ahead with Kelson.

Eric and I got sick of his training wheels falling. We decided to take them off completely and try getting him to ride with out them. He used to have a balance bike and was really good at that. We figured all he really needed to learn was to pedal. Pedal and balance at the same time! Sure enough, it was a piece of cake for him. I think the actual thought of it was more scary to him than actually doing it. "Again, Again, Again!" He shouts. Proud parent moment! He is too short to touch the ground to get himself going. I'm sure with more practice he will figure it out! For now we push him or (if we are at the Autrey's house) start him half way up the drive way and let gravity do its thing!

"I am the GREEN GLOB!!!!!!" 

I don't know where or how he named himself that, but I do think it's pretty awesome!

He will chant this as if it gives him more speed!

*Chloe is 3 Months*

3 MONTHS OLD

Aaaaaaaa! My baby is growing up!!! I honestly can't believe it has been three whole months since we had her... I absolutely love this age! She is still young enough that cuddling is still a must, smiling and giggling is heart melting, but she isn't able to get into trouble yet!

Her favorite things: Standing, sitting up, eating, eating her hands, drooling like a dog (she has a spit rash because she drools so much so often), sitting in her daddy's 'arm chair'. For what ever reason she loves sitting and being held in his injured arm. (poor Eric, the pain he goes through to make her so happy) She loves being talked to-she is an attention hog! She also enjoys watching her brothers play-from a distance-knowing that they cant get her-outside so it isn't too loud. She thinks they are funny.

She doesn't sleep through the night yet, but she only wakes up a couple times is all! She really is a good sleeper. The doctor at our last visit actually gave us some pointers on how to get her sleeping all  night. We will eventually get there, though I am not worried or annoyed.

She still hates the car seat, but loves when we all sing primary songs. That will usually help her keep quiet for a little bit.

The shirt she is wearing is one of my favorites. She wore it as a new born, only it was a dress then. Her pants are actually newborn size! Chloe is very petite but very long for her age. Clothes are pretty tricky already!

8.19.15 Check Up's

On the 19th, all three kids had an appointment with the pediatrician! Dr. Cornish is at Utah Valley Pediatrics at Timpanogos Hospital in Orem. He was the on-call doctor who saw Chloe when she was born. He really knows his stuff, helpful, listens and great bedside manners. I think he is a great doctor for our family.

Kelson's highlight of the visit was peeing in a cup! He was also happy he didn't need any shots-he was completely caught up. As for his measurements: weight: 44, 76% height: 45 in, 88% BMI: 15.5, 51% For area of development, he scored 55 and 60. The cut off line is around 30.

Jayson had three vaccinations all in one poke to the leg! Thank goodness! Although, he did great! He flinched and that was it, all done. He was pretty happy the nurse got a batman sticker for him. His leg was pretty sore by the end of the night, warm and stiff. Good thing for Motrin! To take his mind off of it and make him happy, I made up batman songs! To be honest, they were quite funny! For the past few months Eric and I were worried about his growth. He seems small us and he still fits in 2T pants! After talking with the doctor we know that he is right on track! He will probably take after more of my side of the family than Eric. Here are his measurements: weight: 35 labs, 57% height: 39 in, 48% BMI: 16, 58% For development he score only 45 and 50 once! The rest of 60.

Chloe is adorable! Her measurements are: weight: 10.9, 11% height: 24 in, 74% head circumference 15.5 in, 48% She has these white zit like bumps on her body. Supposedly they are apart of the wart family... Nothing to worry about, they will go away on their own. In fact, many have over the past bit. She also has a condition where her downstairs starts to zip closed. Right now its about 1/4 the way up. If it doesn't fix its self soon, back to the Dr we go to correct it. Supposedly its fairly common. She never had a period once I brought her home though, EVERYONE warned me about it. But it never happened. She fell asleep for the last portion of the visit. Poor girl was woke up for three shots and the drinkable vaccine. Oooo she did NOT like being poked. I don't blame her, who doesn't? I grabbed her and hugged her tight until she calmed down. I thought for sure she would scream once I put her in car seat for the ride home, but instead she slept. We gave her some infant Tylenol when we got home and she was happy! We snuggled the crap out of her that night! She fussed when she would stand on her legs (her favorite thing to do) and she did feel a bit warm. All normal though.

Doc gave us some suggestions and ideas about Jayson's eating habits! Often times Jay wont eat or eat as much as he should because he is so focused on getting on to the next thing. In which case, we pull out the jalapeno's  and threaten if he doesn't eat he will eat a jalapeno. Usually this works after knowing the hard way that we mean business. We really pushed this because we were really worried about his growing or lack there of. (Little did we know he is average for his age.) We now know that this only works momentarily and not in the big scheme of things. We were advised to completely take his food away. The minute he gets down from the table he is done and his food is taken away. He doesn't get to eat til the next meal. Dr. Cornish said he has done this with his three year old and she has only done it twice, he says three year olds love to push the limits and test boundaries. I totally agree with him... Jay does things like this everyday. Three really is a great age, don't ya know?

Chloe's Baby Blessing

Sunday, August 2, 2015 was a special day for our family! Chloe was blessed in our Slate Canyon 6th ward during our sacrament meeting which happened to be at 13:00! Perfect for traveling family to be able to make it!

I was anxiously awaiting for this day to come for more than one reason! It was going to be great to see so many family and friends! I couldn't wait to see Chloe in her beautiful dress that Aunt Sheila so kindly made! I couldn't wait to bear my testimony in front of the whole congregation-I was more nervous than a scared lonely puppy. I bore my testimony with all my other babies at their blessing. I'd like to think of it as tradition. I couldn't wait to hear my husband exercise his priesthood power and hear the blessing for her to receive. I couldn't wait to feel the spirit that would fill my heart mind and soul and nourish my spirit. I couldn't wait to see Kelson and Jayson wearing their new suits we picked up from DI for $8 or less :) I couldn't wait for the nerves to be over. I couldn't wait to relax after the fun, social exhausting day!

The day finally came! All of us were ready by 11:30! That NEVER happens when it's a regular Sunday. We all sat around anxiously waiting for the numbers on the clock to move... closer to 12:30, when we would load the car with the luncheon items as well as our selves. 

After arriving at the church and sitting in our seats at the front of the chapel, Mandy and I slipped Chloe into her blessing outfit.  We borrowed her hairband from a friend, Katie Mihu. Luckily, I matched perfect! I glanced around the room and saw so many family members and friends that were there to show their love and support to our little family on Chloe's special day.

I hope I got everyone. As I look at pictures, I'll realize if I have missed anyone. Katie Mihu took them, thankfully! Once I get them I'll post them here!

We were the first to bless our baby.  Eric did an outstanding job! I'll admit I did cry through it as he mentioned that she has a strong spirit and be married in the temple and be a great Mom... It really was beautiful! I'm definitely going to be adding it to her baby book for her to read the rest of her life. I hope to be a great example to her, someone for her to look up to and ask for guidance through this journey that is filled with joy, love, trials and hardships.

When it was time, I walked up to the pulpit. My heart pounded and I could feel my face start to flush as I began to feel emotional. I bore my testimony about families and how I know they can be together forever, that our prayers are heard and answered and ended knowing that He has a plan for us and we can live with Him again. I nearly cried through the whole thing. Not once have I ever gotten that emotional during a talk or giving my testimony. I felt the spirit so strong I just wanted to cry, seeing all the people in the audience there for us made me want to cry, seeing my kids and my husband really made me want to cry. This gospel is a true blessing to us all on the earth! I wish everyone knew just how wonderful it is to be apart of it and know the gospel truth with all their hearts. Eric also bore his testimony, he mentioned family as well. Seeing him, a man of God standing up there bearing his testimony, made my eyes water. How lucky am I to have a man of God? It makes my heart melt like a popsicle on the fourth of July.

We had the luncheon out behind the chapel at the pavilion.  We served croissant sandwiches with turkey and provolone. (We bought it all in bulk from Adam since he works for Nicholas). I had some people bring sides or desserts. There was pasta salads, Asian salads, chips, fruits and vegetables, cookies, cake and Lacee brought these delicious frozen yogurt pies! Water, capri suns and rootbeer to drink! I think it turned out wonderfully! Everyone got along quite nicely!

I'm thankful to be a member of this wonderful true gospel here on the earth. I'm thankful that my husband has the power of the priesthood and can use it. I'm thankful that Chloe was sent to our family. I'm thankful for families and I'm thankful that families can be together forever. I love feeling the spirit. I love family gatherings like this one, not always love being a hostess, it is part of the mom job though!!!

1st Giggle

It was August 5th when she first giggled! Thanks to my hair tickling her face and of course, my funny faces! I finally caught some good smiles on video! Still trying to get her laughing captured! Dont mind my voice. . .
